Custom slime

A user-created slime species with a 5-color palette and 16×16 pixel idle animation, created via the Custom Slime API.

Also known as: custom species, custom pet

Custom slimes let users design their own pixel pets. Each custom slime has a 5-color indexed palette (keys "1"–"5", hex values) and 1–2 frames of a 16×16 pixel idle animation. Optional animations include running, breathing, and tripping.

Free-tier users can create one custom slime. Pro users can create up to 20. Public custom slimes appear in a shared gallery where other users can like them, and creators can equip any of their own custom slimes as their display avatar.

Custom slimes are separate from the growth system: equipping a custom slime overrides the visual displayed in social contexts (profile, live feed, share cards), but the growing slime under the hood continues through its normal stages.
